As well as providing spaces for students to learn and develop, schools provide an opportunity to foster relationships with the community through the use of their assets which can provide benefits to the community as well as the school and students. The purpose of this online Toolkit is to provide basic resources and simple guidance to help schools open sport and recreation facilities for wider community use.
Sport NZ Facility Management Manual
The New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA), with support from Sport New Zealand have created a Facility Management Manual, providing information and guidance for facility operators in thirteen key areas supporting you to strengthening capability, build confidence and support sustainable, well-managed facilities.
